What is the EmbryoScope?

The EmbryoScope is a next-generation incubator that uses time-lapse imaging technology to closely monitor embryo development from the moment of fertilization. It continuously captures high-resolution images, allowing embryologists to view a complete video timeline of each embryo’s growth—without ever removing them from their controlled environment.

After fertilization, embryos are placed into the EmbryoScope, where they stay in a stable and optimal setting. Because they are not disturbed during this period, there are no changes in temperature, humidity, or light—factors that can negatively affect development. This consistency supports the creation of higher-quality embryos with a better chance of successful implantation and pregnancy.

Why is the EmbryoScope Beneficial?

Compared to standard incubators, the EmbryoScope offers significant advantages:

  • Continuous Observation: The time-lapse system records images around the clock, giving embryologists a detailed view of each embryo’s development without needing to open the incubator.
  • Uninterrupted Culture Environment: Embryos remain undisturbed in a stable atmosphere, free from temperature and light changes that can occur during manual checks.
  • Individual Embryo Spaces: Each embryo is kept in a separate compartment, which improves hygiene, prevents cross-contamination, and allows for more accurate tracking.
  • Smarter Embryo Selection: By reviewing every stage of development, our team can identify embryos with optimal division patterns and healthy appearance—those with the highest potential for successful implantation.

Thanks to the EmbryoScope, Sakalli IVF is able to select embryos more precisely and offer a greater chance of success for our patients. This technology enhances both the safety and success of IVF treatments.
